Ooh, Sparkly!

Here's what lightning looks like filmed at 9,000 frames per second. This is less than a second's worth of real time stretched out to over a minute and a half in the video.

That's crazy-cool. Especially when you notice that one of those hit the same place like 4 times. So much for lightning only striking once. Thanks for sharing.

Eric: The thing that was odd to me was how, even slowed down, there are small flashes of lightning that look, well, lightning-quick. There's obviously a lot more going on during a storm than I realized!
