I've ePublished my novel,The Cult of Conspicuous Consumption, on Smashwords, Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk under the pseudonym "Jen Deben".
And ooh, look! I figured out how to embed my promo (still no sound, sorry):
By the way, if you want to share this Flash game with others (and naturally I would love it if you did), just copy-and-paste the text below into your website or blog:

Finally, just so nobody feels awkward, I firmly believe you should only buy a book if it appeals to you and never out of guilt because that book happens to be written by your internet buddy.
In other words, it's totally fine with me if this sort of novel isn't your cup of tea. You don't have to pretend otherwise; I promise I still like you!
I mean, heck, this is a novel I would emphatically tell my mother not to buy because my mom doesn't appreciate bloodthirsty, cynical books, and oooooh my, yes--this is one such a novel. So it would hardly be sporting for me to strong-arm anyone else into it, would it?
I do hope, however, that you'll all at least take a look at the novel's blurb and free sample and consider it.
Oh, and play the Flash game lots while making "Rawr! Rawr!" noises. :-)

Hm. Will have to read the first chapter over my wife's shoulder. This actually might be up her alley.
Not to complain too much, but embedding your promo seems to make your blog very slow and memory hoggish on a PC. I know - that's a PC for you (and an old laptop at that). Just thought you might want to know. I had to stop visiting Aerin's blog as it would freeze my poor laptop - so at least half the problem's on this end.
Never mind. Ran a second run to be sure and it's not you. Might be my Dashboard. What the heck is Google doing now???
Sarah: I switched my blog back to a simpler layout, which should help. The other layout's very pretty, but it makes the scrolling slow, so that in conjunction with the Flash was probably bogging things down too much.
Oh--PS, Thank you for letting me know! :-)
It's such an innovative way of advertising your book!
I'm afraid it's not my cup of tea (the less gore the better as far as I'm concerned) but I hope it's a huge success!
I played the game before reading all the instructions. I neglected to make the rawr! rawr! noises. Oh, poop.
(PS congratulations on taking the leap!)
FairyHedgehog: Thanks, and I'm glad you like the (minimally gory) game. :-D
Peter: Yelling "Rawr! Rawr!" can always be done after the fact; never fear. And thank you! :-D
I'm about half way done reading it. Good so far.
A request and a critique...
I bought two copies so could you send a autographed copy to our sister :)
The critique, I have seen your drawings when you put your passion into them. The cover and the game are way below what you are capable of... Tisk, Tisk
Sarf: Oh, and here I was all excited that I sold four books yesterday, but it was just cronyism! :) Thanks for buying them; I do appreciate it.
Um. How do I autograph an ebook? (Also, I doubt sis would like this book--too gory!)
Harumph! Well, I neve--well, okay, the cartoons do kinda suck, but that's because there's so darn many of them. I really don't like animation for that reason--you have to do almost-the-same thing so many times.
The cover, however, I really like and am proud of. Sorry you aren't as fond of that style. :(
I like the composition of the cover, it just feels like you took a low res photo and ran it through a heavy solar filter. So you get sharp definitions between the colors.
I guess that is the big thing there isn't allot of blending between the color levels.
But meh, it is just my opinion, and it isn't just what I am used to seeing from your art. Then again it has been a few years since I have seen any of your newer stuff. And your styles may have changed from what I remember.
I still think fondly of the Splat cats, and the book and key one you did.
As for animation have you tried playing with 3d modeling, I have been dabbling with it. haven't gotten into skinning and animating yet. But it is fun.
A request, can you make a animated GIF of your hamster wheel loading screen for me?
Hope to buy a Nook in a month or so so i'll be sure and order it when I do.
FYI i pimped the book on out internal mailing lists and my face book. Hopefully a couple more sales from it.
Sarf: Thanks for the pimping! That's very kind, and I really do appreciate it. :)
I'll email the gif to you when I get home. I've actually had it for a few years--I believe I made it while in grad school. (I use it in the "File not found" screen for my website too.)
I've never tried 3D animation before. I'd be really interested to see what you come up with if you get more seriously into it!
Travis: Aw, thank you, Travis! I really appreciate you being willing to support a friend.
Now get those Feedstore Chronicles available, because I will buy a copy or three of those. :)
Just finished reading it.
Good.
You had to leave it like that, well hurt and finish the next one. I have a feeling I can read them faster than you can wrier them :)
Sarf: Mwahahaha...I'm not even writing the sequel to that one right now. I'm writing something else entirely! *twirls ebil moustache*
