As a former rock climber, I gotta say: WIN, kitty; epic WIN.

I feel sorry for the next person who walks by. That cat looks ready to pounce.

Oh, this will be one of those optical illusion photos where the 'house' is in fact a model — a mock-up of timber and plaster, laid out flat on the ground with a perfectly gravity-friendly cat positioned near the "uh-oh, so up-there" window — only the irony is that the cat in question got frisky for the photoshoot substitute Tom and had to be NAILED to the mock house to stop it escaping.

So remember folks — what looks like spectacularly audacious climbing skill may in fact be merely cruelty.

Travis: If I were clinging to a wall, and contemplating how to get my butt down safely, someone else's scalp would definitely start to look like a perfectly adequate landing strip.

FairyHedgehog: S/he totally is! I've heard of climbers who can go up a featureless edge like that using the friction of their hands and feet, but it's darned hard. The claws would definitely be useful.

Whirlochre: Alternately, it might be a simple case of static cling. Cat fur gets pretty zappy in dry weather.

Spider-cat. Spider-cat. Does whatever a spider-cat does. Can he swing from a web? No, he can't. He's a cat. Look out!
